Founded by Apostle Reginald J. White
The mission of Compassionate Care is to bring adequate health care to the uninsured residents of Richmond County and those unable to afford necessary health care; to not only treat patients, but to also teach them how to live healthy lifestyles; andto make the greatest possible impact on the health of our community by working with local agencies to meet community health needs.
In August of 1999, Cheryl Everett donated a building on East Washington Street to Greater Gospel Lighthouse Word Ministries to be used for community outreach. The ministry held the property for seven years until August of 2006. At that time the Lord spoke to Apostle White concerning a free clinic. Having no formal medical training, but empowered by a Word from God and a vision to better the health of the community, he went to work soliciting community support. Becoming the primary philanthropist, Apostle White oversaw the total renovation of the dilapidated building (shown above) and constructed the current medical facility. Compassionate Care opened its doors for service to the Community on September 10, 2007.
